With a tremendous life lesson, the father of a child in ‘La Voz Kids’ surprised the juries

The voice Kids, star program of Caracol Television, has generated quite an impact on the different social networks in recent weeks thanks to the fact that it is currently the most watched production by Colombians, leading the rating national.

Likewise, the musical production has allowed some of the moving stories of several of the small participants to be known, such as that of David Santiago, who sang ‘La calandria’ during his presentation.

The minor’s father did not overlook his audition and took advantage of the moment to recount the adventures they have done so that his son can continue fighting for his dreams within that industry, giving the juries a life lesson.

Faced with these emotional words, the judges of The voice Kids They reflected on their professional careers and how business took them away from that passion with which they started, especially when they were younger.

“It reminds us that in the streets of Colombia there are many people working for the dreams of their children. The path of life has taken us through different places, but our hearts beat the same. Thank you for this message.” Andrés Cepeda initially specified.

Later, Kany Garcia added: “There is nothing more beautiful than a person who has a story that teaches us so much. You come to educate us and you come to make us aware of so many things that we often forget. For us, it’s a slap in the face.”

In the end, the little participant chose the Colombian singer as his coach for this edition of the musical program, who did not hesitate to recognize the minor’s great artistic qualities.

Another of the children who most captivated the public was Camilo Montoya, son of two ex-combatants of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC), who remembered his deceased mother during his audition.

According to the testimony of his father, Rodrigo Montoya, the boy’s mother decided to enlist in that guerrilla after the paramilitaries invaded the region where they lived (Apartadó, Antioquia). Likewise, she indicated that she died in the middle of a bombardment.

“I ended up in the guerrilla practically forced, It wasn’t in my plans. I saw no other option, because the paramilitaries were in the town. The only option I saw was to go get a weapon to defend myself. What Camilo knows about his mother is what I’ve told him, that she died in a bombing. It is better to tell the truth,” he said. Montoya, in the same way, took advantage of the moment to reveal that the song that Camilo performed in the audition was composed together two years ago and that they recently published the video.

“I told him the story and that day he told me how he could see his mother. I showed him a photo that was left lying around. That’s how he came up with the song. He told me: ‘Pa, let’s make a song for her’ ”, accurate.

Through his personal Twitter account, the singer Juanes did not overlook the moving story of that family and shared a reflection with his followers, which quickly went viral.

The artist from Antioquia also used the minor’s story to point out that the Peace Agreement with the FARC has worked in Colombia and has allowed the children who are victims of violence to have a better future.
