‘The wheel of time’ will have season 3: Amazon renews its ambitious fantasy series and reveals images of the shooting of season 2

the one of ‘The Lord of the rings‘ is not the only ambitious adaptation that is leading Amazon Prime Video but let’s not forget that we are waiting for the second season of ‘the wheel of time‘. But good news, since the platform has announced that The series based on the novels by Robert Jordan will have season 3.

This has been confirmed during the International Comic-Con, which is being held these days in the Californian city of San Diego. A presentation in which they have revealed a small video “behind the cameras” of the second season, which will be released soon. We will have to wait to see a teaser of the new episodes.

The rise of the shadow

Obviously, we still know little about this new season of fiction except that, logically, it will take the main lines of ‘The rise of the shadow’ (Shadow Rising)the fourth book in the Robert Jordan saga (which in Spain was originally divided into ‘The stone portals’ and ‘The Aiel wilderness’).

While we don’t have a synopsis for the season, we do have a synopsis for the book, which begins with Rand claiming the Callandor sword to certify your Dragon Reborn status:

Shayol Ghul’s seals have been weakened and the Dark One’s presence is becoming ever more apparent. In Tar Valon, Min witnesses portentous events that predict a horrible future. The Whitecloaks search Two Rivers for a man with golden eyes and follow the trail of the Dragon Reborn. Perrin, accompanied by Faile, Loial and some Aiel arrive there after passing through the Stone Portals.

They will meet the Trollocs, who serve the Dark One, and the White Cloaks and their peculiar way of understanding the defense of the Light. As Elayne and Nynaeve set out for Tanchico on the trail of the Black Ajah’s Aes Sedai who have taken the numerous ter’angreal, Rand tries to rally all the Aiel clans. With this he will fulfill part of Rhuidean’s prophecy.

In the words of Rafe Judkinsseries showrunner:

“I’m very excited to do a third season of ‘The Wheel of Time’. ‘The Rise of the Shadow’ has always been my favorite book in the series, so to be able to bring it to television and introduce new audiences to the stories that made me fall in love with these books in the first place is such an honor. and something I’ve worked towards since I first pitched the series years and years ago.”

Rosamund Pike leads the cast of ‘The Wheel of Time’ as Morraine. In the cast we also meet daniel henney as Lan Mandragoran Zoe Robins as Nynaeve al’Meara, Madeleine Madden as Egwene al’Vere, Josha Stradowski like Rand al’Thor and Marcus Rutherford like Perrin Aybara.

We would like to give thanks to the author of this post for this remarkable content
