The longest night takes place on Christmas Eve, when a group of armed men surrounds the Monte Baruca prison and cuts it off from the outside. What at first appears to be an escape strategy soon reveals itself to be something else entirely. The objective of the attackers is to capture Simón Lago (Luis Callejo), a dangerous serial killer. If the guards hand it over to him, the assault will be over in a matter of minutes. But Hugo (Alberto Ammann), the warden, refuses to obey them and prepares to resist a real siege in which the prisoners will be the best defense.
