The legendary ‘bad and ferocious’ of TV together in ‘Secretos de Villanas’

Los Angeles — Legendary television villains Aylín Mújica, Cynthia Klitbo, Gabriela Spanic, Geraldine Bazán, Sabine Moussier and Sarah Mintz will star in the new series “Secretos de Villanas” that will air on the streaming platform Canela.TV.

This original series will be divided into two parts, with a total of ten episodes, bringing together for the first time in the history of Hispanic television these six villains from the most emblematic telenovelas of all time.

Sarah Mintz, formerly known as Maritza Rodríguez, will make her first appearance after her marriage, name change, and conversion to Orthodox Judaism.

The first part of “Secretos de Villanas: El Reencuentro” will be broadcast on Canela.TV from October 20 and consists of two episodes, continuing with the reality series, “Secretos de Villanas: Las Vacaciones”, of eight episodes that will be released weekly.

This first part will have two episodes, the initial meeting of the six divas-villains on a set in Mexico City. Although some have met at events and have worked together, all six have never met at the same time and on the same show.

This series will mark the return to television of Sarah Mintz (formerly known as Maritza Rodríguez) and the actresses will be able to live with her as Sarah for the first time; sharing, laughing, crying and revealing many secrets, reviewed the channel Canela.TV.

The next part, “Secrets of Villains: Vacations”, will document the six divas through eight episodes as they travel together on a private jet to Cabo San Lucas, where they will stay in a luxurious villa with spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean.

Over the course of their escapade, audiences will see them for who they really are when they’re not acting as soap opera villains and discover what unites them as actresses: being women, wives and mothers while sharing an intense, life-changing vacation together.

“Novelas have been part of the Latino culture that, for years, have brought families together. With this series, we want to maintain this tradition, but with a modern touch to summon new generations”, commented Isabel Rafferty Zavala, founder and executive director of Canela Media.

He assured that “if you ask the fans of the novels, who are their favorite characters, they would name many of the villains played by the six female protagonists of ‘Secretos de Villanas'”.

Canela.TVis one of the first free video streaming platforms for US Hispanics/Latinos, with more than 10 million downloads. Canela.TV it also has FAST channel distribution through partners such as Samsung, XUMO and LG.
