Stephen King has recommended a new suspense series that few know and deserves more attention

In addition to being one of the most important and prolific writers of today, Stephen King he has also become something of a “current affairs commentator”, not only for his publications on politics in the United States, but also for his facet of recommending new movies and series that he has enjoyed.

And many times these recommendations from the author, who has repeatedly declared himself a great fan of series like stranger thingsmake some productions that had gone somewhat unnoticed find a new audience that they didn’t even know had been released.

“Locked up with the devil (Apple TV +): Brilliant and fascinating. A Dennis Lehane masterpiece. All episodes now available,” Stephen King wrote in a brief tweet, which did not need 24 hours to get more than 5,000 “likes” on the social network where many have commented to agree with the writer.

Premiered on July 8 on Apple’s streaming service, locked up with the devil tells the story of Jimmy Keene, a young man who is sentenced to 10 years in a minimum security prison no parole. But before serving time, he makes a deal with the FBI to enter a maximum security prison.

The goal is to befriend a suspected serial killer, Larry Hall, in order to get his confession and thus avoid his appeal in court and find out where the bodies of up to eighteen women murdered by Hall are found. But is Hall really a serial killer? Or a serial confessor?

Locked Up With the Devil stars Taron Egerton in the role of Jimmy Keene, while Hall is brought to life by Paul Walter Hauser. The series is created by Dennis Lehane, author of the Mistyc River novel and features one of the latest interpretations of Ray Liotta before passing away.
