Scarlett Estévez is Ultra Violet in new Disney Channel series

“When a mysterious wrestling mask chooses Violet, she becomes the superhero ULTRA VIOLET! Eager to become famous, Violet embarks on a mission to collaborate with the inhabitants of the city”, states the synopsis of the series “Ultra Violet & Black Scorpion”, which will premiere on June 3, 2022 on Disney Channel.

The series stars the young Latin actress Scarlett Estévez, who plays the character of Violet Rodriguez. She is able to turn into a feisty superhero after donning a magical mask. She could thus be seen in the production trailer that was published this week.

In the preview you can see that the young woman is not alone in her mission, but is accompanied by her uncle Cruz de la Vega, known in fiction as Black Scorpion, a wrestling coach who will teach her how to use her special powers. This character is played by the American actor JR Villarreal.

Violet must keep her superhero identity a secret from her mother Nina (played by Marianna Burelli), her father Juan Carlos (played by Juan Alfonso), and her brother Santiago (played by Brandon Rossel). Violet’s best friend, named Maya Miller-Martinez (Zelia Ankrum) will play a fundamental role in this new facet of the young woman, as she will be her confidant and support her in documenting her adventures on social media.

“Ultra Violet & Black Scorpion” was created by American writers and producers Dan Hernandez and Benji Samit. It is not the first time that both work together; They have already done it in “The Addams Family 2” and in “Pokémon Detective Pikachu”.

Scarlett Estevez was born in Los Angeles. She will turn 15 on December 4. She first appeared on camera when she was just 3 years old in an advertising campaign. And that was just the beginning of her since she has later participated in another 25 commercials for large brands of both restoration and automobiles.

Later in 2015 and 20217, she played the role of Megan in the movies Daddy’s Home 1 and 2, respectively. This role got her work recognized in the entertainment industry and led to her winning the Young Entertainer Award.

She also joined the cast in the Netflix television series “Lucifer” as Trixie, participated in the fourth season of “Bunk’d” (called “Campamento Kikiwaka” in Spain, or “Acampados” in Latin America) broadcast by Disney Channel in 2019 and played the role of Ro in “Christmas Again.”
