The giant Telemundo has recently announced that changes are coming to its content grid, especially after the very low audience numbers of “Blood Secrets” in prime time. Will this be the last measure before the possible cancellation of the Ottoman fiction?
The formula of Telemundo and the Turkish soap operas managed to give it a higher average turn-on than the Hispanic network. Examples such as “Brothers” or “Bitter Land” show this, although there are also certain failures that the telecommunications company itself has had to accept.
As we well remember, Telemundo had been broadcasting two daily episodes of the Turkish melodrama “Blood Secrets”although after its premiere on Tuesday, May 23, the fiction starring Pina Deniz and Kaan Urgancioglu did not have the expected data on the signal.
TELEMUNDO’S CHANGE REGARDING “SECRETOS DE SANGRE”
As of June 5, Telemundo will reduce the broadcast time of its Turkish soap opera. In other words, two episodes will no longer be broadcast in prime time, as the modern version of “I am Betty, the ugly one” is coming, the successful Colombian drama.
In this way, the Telemundo adaptation will premiere a new schedule and it will be at 9 pm, Eastern time.

THE REASON FOR THE CHANGE OF “BLOOD SECRETS”
Although Telemundo did not reveal the details behind this decision, it is known that “Secretos de Sangre” failed to generate the audience numbers expected for a soap opera broadcast on Iberian television.
Doing the math, fiction remained the least viewed novel. Last Tuesday the 30th, it barely brought together 664,000 viewers in front of “El amor invincible” and “Mujer”, which registered 1,432,000 and 1,006,000, respectively, according to Nielsen data.

The public will be able to see the complete live episodes of “Secretos de Sangre” on television in prime time. They can also catch up through the Telemundo app, available in the Google Play Store and Apple Store, or by visiting the website of the Spanish-speaking network, telemundo.com.
It should be noted that the new episodes of the Turkish series will also be available the next day on the Peacock streaming service.
