In the middle of the tour of his most recent album, PoundEsposito also premiered this Friday of the series the end of lovea romantic comedy that he stars in and produces and is now available on Amazon Prime Video.

“I’m a worker, whatever you give me to do, I’ll do it for you, I’ll find a way around it,” says the 31-year-old Argentine star resolutely.

She is, she underlines, an actress and a singer or a singer and an actress, sometimes one occupation before the other. She does not conceive of herself in any other way and she would not want to opt for something specific.

“I’m everything. It’s a bit bizarre, because I started very small doing things [series argentinas como Rincón de Luz y Floricienta] that they were a 360, where you had to act, but at the same time sing and dance”, says Espósito. “For me it is very natural to mix music with acting, I could never choose one or the other. I have my moments where I work on a record, release it, do shows, I’m full for that, and suddenly acting opportunities appear, ”she adds.

Now, however, is a time when he has to juggle two things at once: the series and his tour.

The series moves in the romantic comedy genre and is an adaptation of the homonymous book of essays (with the subtitle “Love and Fuck in the 21st Century”), written by Tamara Tenenbaum. In the book, the philosopher meditates on getting out of the corseting and affective and sexual expectations of women. It deals with the end of the paradigms in terms of couple and love.

“The series we have done in Argentina is hyper-original. Superfeminist, with a view of a Buenos Aires that has not been shown. I think you’re going to like it a lot,” Esposito promises.

Lali plays Tamara, a character based on the author’s life. A woman who belongs to the Orthodox Jewish neighborhood in Buenos Aires, whose father dies in the terrorist attack on the AMIA (Asociación Mutualista Israelita Argentina) in 1994.

“Tamara’s father dies and she decides to leave religion and face another life. With what that costs someone from the Orthodox community. She is called the end of love because he starts talking about romantic love, getting married, having children, this social imposition for women”, explains the actress and singer. “She goes crazy with everything that happens to her in her new life, with all the offers there are on a sexual-affective level, drugs, everything. It is the path of a 30-year-old girl with her friends ”.

On the other hand, his most recent album, Poundwas released in 2020. Lali plays with the elasticity of Latin pop, but has released concept EPs, as she doesn’t buy into the idea of singles.

“With singles, you put a lot of pressure on a song, and I consider myself a concept singer. When I put out a piece, I don’t care, I don’t just give life to that piece, there is a concept, an idea, a hitch between one song and another. I tell more about who I am musically like this”, explains the singer and actress.

Espósito has Mexican artists in mind for duets. She said that she feels an affinity with Danna Paola, whose energy and proposal he admires. “We hope that something will materialize with her. But I am eclectic. My dream would be to do something with Molotov. Go figure. I really like the musical variety, rock challenges me, ”she added.
