Two and a half years after its second season, Disney+ is preparing one of the most anticipated premieres for this 2023, The Mandolarian. The series starring Peter Pascal return with the story and outcome of Boba Fett’s book. Accompanied by Grogu, the protagonist returns to the planet Mandalore in order to restore his honor and become a Mandalorian again.
In December, the fans and followers of the series of Star Wars They were already able to write down the date of the new premiere, next March 1. The second season swept the audience in the United States, ranking among the most watched in 2020, so there are millions of fans who are eagerly awaiting the continuation of this story.
On January 16, the first trailer for the upcoming season was released, which promises a lot of action. This season will center its story on Mandalore, the spiritual home of Din Djarin, or the Mandalorian and his fellow helmeted warrior knights.
At the end of Boba Fett’s book, we saw Din and Grogu flying on The Mandolarian’s new ship. Given the The Mandalorian takes place between Return of the Jedi Y The Force Awakenseventually there will have to be an explanation as to why Grogu didn’t impact the Disney sequels at all, or what happened to The Mandalorian.
Confirmed names for the third season include its lead, Pedro Pascal as Din Djarin, the titular Mandalorian on whom the entire series is based. Another returning character is Moff Gideon, played by Giancarlo Espositothe actor spoke with People and said “We live in a universe that is huge and [que tiene] much to explore. So I think this show will start to lay the foundation for the depth and breadth that will come in Season 3 and Season 4, where you’re really going to start getting answers.”
Greef Karga, played by Carl Weathers, will appear on the show, as he was briefly shown in the new trailer sporting some fancy new robes. Amy Sedaris will also return to the show, playing Peli Motto, the mechanic who helped Din in the previous season.
A character that apparently will be important in what is to come is that of Bo-Katan Kryze, played by Katee Sackhoff. While season 2 ended with the uneasy alliance between his character and The Mandalorian, it will be interesting to see how that plays out. At the announcement board during the Star Wars Celebration, Sackhoff said the character has “unfinished business.”
Something that leaves between seeing the trailer was the character Babu Frik. The Mandalorian and Grogu are shown flying away from what could be Kijimi, the planet Babu Frik was on in the film, however this is unconfirmed.
One character who definitely won’t be returning is Cara Dune. The actress, Gina Carano was fired from The Mandalorian after sharing offensive posts on social media.
