Daredevil returns in a series for Disney +. The door opens to the rewriting of Netflix’s Marvel series

Variety reports exclusively that a new ‘Daredevil’ series is underway for Disney+. Behind her are Matt Corman and Chris Ordcreators of ‘Covert Affairs’, a USA Netfwork series that went unnoticed in Spain, about a CIA agent who is promoted by surprise, which could have to do with the agency’s suspicious interest in her ex.

There are no more details of this new ‘Daredevil’ at the moment. Although with the appearance of Charlie Cox in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home‘ as Matt Murdock and Vincent D’Onofrio as the Kingpin in ‘Hawk Eye‘, and having both confirmed that, obviously, they are the same characters that embodied in Netflix’s ‘Daredevil’, it seems that Marvel has every intention of continuing with the character.

‘The Hollywood Reporter’ gives an extra fact about this new series: Disney’s intention is for it to function more as a symbolic fourth season than as a new series about the character, which also makes perfect sense. Although we are certainly not going to see it continuing the Netflix series directly, the fact that all the series that the platform produced based on Marvel characters be on Disney+ now (in Spain, from June 29) facilitates continuity.

This movement propitiates the reformulation of the most interesting series of that block of productions. Although very possibly not all of them will return to the fore, it is possible that some of the most beloved characters, such as the Punisher or Jessica Jones, will be seen in other series or in new movies. What is more doubtful is that the most violent and urban nature of many of them is respected in Disney series, usually for all audiences even in characters as dark as ‘moon knight‘. Time will tell.
