Jezlieanne Colón, a 16-year-old Bronx resident and scholarship student at an elite Manhattan prep school, has been missing since leaving her home on Saturday afternoon.

“He just abruptly walked out the door on Saturday. He didn’t say anything, he just walked away.” said to foxnews her mother, Kimberly Valera. “I haven’t heard from her since.”

Colón is a scholarship student at the all-girls Nightingale-Bamford School on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, which costs $59,000 a year. She is the real-life inspiration for the fictional “Constance Billard School for Girls” in the television series “Gossip Girl”. The author of the original “Gossip Girl” novels, Cecily von Ziegesar, graduated from the Nightingale-Bamford School in 1988.

Colón attended most of her freshman year remotely from home due to the coronavirus pandemic, but she started having trouble at school when she started her second year as an in-person student last fall, according to her mother.

Valera said she believes someone may have picked up her daughter after she left her home in the Bronx’s Castle Hill neighborhood between 3:30 and 4 p.m. Saturday. in the Metro because he disappeared from the area so quickly… Her brother left right after her to see if he could find her and he couldn’t.”
