The new season of the Mexican Pacific League brings with him a host of talented players who make Mexico’s winter baseball circuit one of the best at this time of year.

Here are four of the best players with experience in MLB participating in the LMP.

Ramiro Peña will be one of the leaders of Tomateros de Culiacán during the 2021-22 season of the Mexican Pacific League

The veteran player of the Tomateros infield played for 7 seasons in the Major Leagues with New York Yankees, Atlanta Braves and San Francisco Giants, hitting .252 with 9 homers and 63 RBIs.

Urías has two seasons in the best baseball in the world with the Orioles de Baltimore, something that will undoubtedly make his presence on the field with the Cañeros one of the attractions of the LMP fans. In 2021 he hit a .279 average, 7 homers and 38 RBIs.

Cruz had a 5-year Major League career with the Pittsburgh Pirates, Milwaukee Brewers, Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees. In that time he posted an average of .234, with 7 homers and 57 RBIs.

Urrutia was only two seasons in the majors with the Orioles. One in 2013 and the last time in the 2015 contest in which he hit .272, 1 home run and 8 RBIs. However, in the LMP he has established himself as one of the best hitters in the league.
