We can all sing, but not all of us can be in tune and harmonious, and not even those who dedicate themselves to singing can always be perfect, as happened to Ximena Sariñana in 2012 with one of Miguel Bosé’s classics, ‘Aire soy’.

In that year, Miguel Bosé relaunched some of his songs and compiled them on the album daddy twoin the company of renowned Latin artists such as Malú, Juanes, Alejandro Sanz, Pablo Alborán, Juan Luis Guerra and, of course, Sariñana, among others.

The new recordings sought to repeat the success achieved with Daddy, the previous album in which Julieta Venegas, Ricky Martin, Shakira, all the established Latinos participated. Y daddy two perhaps he was able to achieve it because of his guest stars and the new arrangements, but one, how to say it?, peculiar pronunciation in the song entrusted to the actress of Loving You hurts grabbed all the attention.

And it was not just any song, but also the launch single. ‘Aire soy’ began with Sariñana’s melodic voice, very attached to the original version until she arrived the stanza that has become his cross and meme, “cashi shin want”. For some reason, the Mexican seemed like she was singing with a lisp.

According to Ximena, the phrase was a mistake that neither she nor the producer, “a gringo”, detected at the time of recording. “She never told me ‘hey, pronounce this better’.” The mistake went viral and although it could have been a disaster, the singer has been able to appreciate the positive of the experience.

“It’s how incredible it is to also release a song or product to the world, it stops being yours and people take ownership of it. It became a hashtags and it was like a part of saying things,” he told content creator Roberto Martínez about this anecdote.

It also allowed him to get to know Bosé more intimately, whom he considers an adoptive father for giving him the opportunity to work at his side on other occasions. “With Miguel it is already a relationship of many years, it all started when he, on my first album, gave me my first gold record, they held a press conference and he presented the album because he liked my music a lot. From there he adopted me , took me to Spain to open some concerts for him and sing with him. It was very inspiring for me and also the human quality, he is a super guy”.

The affection between the two was evident when Bosé presented his bioseries in Mexico and among the invited artists was the actress from The house of flowers.
