We are currently living a moment in the career of Guns N’ Roses in which the concerts of the band led by Axl Rose are synonymous with some three or four hours of incredible live music and delivery by the band, but the legend that for years persecuted the group between cancellations, delays and others did not write itself, and now one of those eventful concerts has returned to memory thanks to the sale of one of the chairs that were blown up in the riots caused by Axl Rose scaring off the stage at 1991.

The Riverport Amphitheater in St. Louis, Missouriwas the scene in which the July 2nd of the year in which the acclaimed ‘Use Your Illusion’ Guns N’ Roses offered one of their massive concerts, which Axl Rose interrupted when he saw someone in the audience with a camera, which led the vocalist to disappear from the place asking the security of the event to take care of it: “Thanks to shitty security. I’m going home”.

The reaction of the public was so angry that it led to Axl being arrested for causing serious riots with his acts, leading to Guns N’ Roses not being able to return to St. Louis until last 2017. These events have been recalled again by finding in eBay chair auction of the Amphitheater that flew during those altercations and that has reached after seven bids the value of $122.

Without even showing a photo of the chair, but claiming to include the event ticket receipt in the price, the description showed this story from the seller: “I was in the audience at the GNR concert that ended in the infamous GNR ban in St. Louis in ’91. A friend took a chair during the chaos outside and put it in my car. I have kept this piece of history for 31 years. My wife told me it was time to find it a new home. I am auctioning off the chair as well as the original ticket stub.”
