As if it were campaign time, Ricardo Monreal starred in a new music video in which various citizens are observed to show their support and preference for the senator brunette to the rhythm of theReal Cumbia”. The recording was made by Monri Moments Productions and published on the Morena TV account.
Despite lacking specific lyrics, the production compiles various testimonies with an intonation of support for someone who is shaping up to fight for the representation of his party in the 2024 presidential race.You already know which one, all with Monreal”, “We are not going to leave nor are we going to crack” and “Faith moves mountains, we with Monreal”, are some of the letters that are heard.
Of course, the song was shared by Monreal himself who wrote: “Thanks to the creativity and the samples of affection that I receive every day, we continue fighting to have a better country, we will not rest. Music also brings us together and keeps us in a good mood. #CumbiaReal”, reads its official Twitter account.
In the short film you can see citizens, merchants, taqueros, subway users, cooks, with stuffed animals, official shirts and dancing cumbia. The video, then, with a narrative in which shows the senator living with the population of the Mexican capital.
Although Mexico’s presidential elections are approximately two years away and where Morena looks like the party to take the fight, the campaign events seem to have started at the limit of the law. The so-called corcholatas have shown their intention to be the one to continue the self-styled project of Fourth Transformation (4T) in the country and Monreal is one of them.
Along with the former governor of Zacatecas and former delegation head of the Cuauhtémoc mayor’s office, the head of government of Mexico City appears as the main figures claudia sheinbaum Pardo, the Secretary of Foreign Relations Marcelo Ebrard Casaubón and the Secretary of the Interior Adam Augusto Lopez. However, of this list it is Monreal who seems to have the least support from the leaders brunettesas well as López Obrador himself.
It is not the first time that Ricardo Monreal turns to music as a resource to make a crusade with political interests. A few months ago, specifically in July, the official released the royal rap in which he briefly narrates his history, as well as his ideals as a political actor in which his leftist inclination stands out.
The publication of the song generated numerous reactions on Twitter, as there are those who laughed at the royal rap, those who spoke in favor and those who spoke against; however, the comments that attracted the most attention are those that predicted a “shoot” between the bottle caps of the president against the senator.
