Violating the norms established against COVID-19, more than 8,000 people participated on Saturday, November 6, in a concert by Divan and the Sarao project in the Jardines de la Tropical.
The activity was carried out without the authorization of the government commission of the capital empowered to grant the permit, and the 50% capacity allowed for these activities was exceeded by more than four times, according to the Havana Tribune.
The Temporary Work Group of Havana reported that the measures applied included the definitive separation of the director of the facility, the deputy director and the head of Recreation, who were imposed a fine per capita of 3,000 pesos for contravening the Decree-Law 31.
From the Recreatur company, to which this center belongs, the deputy director and the Recreation specialist were dismissed from their employment relationship.
The local newspaper points out that the Jardines de la Tropical was also ordered to close for not now complying with the necessary hygienic conditions.
The temporary working group defined that activities of this type in the municipalities will be authorized by the provincial government and, all Monday, the incidents of the weekend will be analyzed.
Severe measures will be applied to those who violate the regulations, putting health security at risk and with it the life of the people.
Although the measures in Havana have been made more flexible, given the favorable impact of the vaccination process in containing COVID-19 cases, it is important to maintain health protocols such as the mandatory use of the nasobuco, disinfection of hands with chlorinated solution or hydroalcoholic-based gel, disinfection of media and facilities, foot passages in accesses, physical separation and limitation of the use of the capacity of media and facilities, to avoid a regression in what has been achieved.
