They censor the concert of Emilio Frías and his orchestra El Niño and La Verdad in Havana for his song “Cambio” (VIDEO)

The popular singer Emilio Frías was unable to say goodbye to the auditorium during a concert this Saturday, in Havana, by his orchestra El Niño y La Verdad, at the Casa de la Música de Galeano, which ended with an audio technician being dragged out of the venue and the outrage of the audience.

As seen in a video posted on Facebook In the early hours of Sunday morning by the independent journalist Manuel de la Cruz, security personnel from the place violently expelled one of the audio technicians who refused to turn off the equipment.

The singer spoke to the public about the censorship of his controversial song “Cambio”, his most recent single, which is scheduled to be released on Friday, September 16.

“Maybe I could be wrong, but my mistake is mine. I’m not saying that, as I think, many people think. I haven’t said anything, they’ve put together all this here… And if they’re going to do that, Really, I tell you, if you’re going to get like this, don’t invite me anymore. Don’t call me anymore, and get me out of everywhere. Get me off television, get me off the radio… The only thing you’re not going to be able to get me out of is from the hearts of all Cubans. Wherever I am, I will be in the hearts and minds of all Cubans. I just have to tell them: May Yemaya’s blessing always reach everyone!” introduction to the final theme of the concert.

It was then that the censors tried to end the presentation abruptly, De la Cruz explained on the social network.

“The presentation closes in advance, and the interpreter is not allowed to finish with his classic song “Agua pa’ Yemayá.” Some of the participants begin to utter insults against the local officials, and later, even against the government itself, ” wrote.

Frias, addressing the person who was trying to pressure the technicians to turn off the sound amplification (wearing a long-sleeved white shirt, in the audio control area), says: “If you’re going to do that, I’m leaving, but people see you turning it off. Can’t I say goodbye to people?”

Then he starts with the song and in the middle of the audience’s applause, the singer sarcastically tells his censor: “Knock it down if you want, knock it down if you want now”.

Patricia de Cepeda, one of De la Cruz’s followers, commented on the post: “What a shame, fear of a song, they are hung with sticks and Chinese.”

For her part, Yanet Fors wrote: “It’s one lack of respect after another. Cubans can’t even enjoy themselves with peace of mind anymore. The attitude of the audio colleague is admirable, and hopefully the reprisals are not so severe, because in the end, like many They applaud him but leave him alone.

“I understand that people went to have fun, but it’s very sad that they don’t know the power they have. It’s their right to listen to the entire concert, that’s what they paid for. If they had all stayed demanding the song it would have been great, but they still prefer to fulfill the orders of 4 cats that are no better than them,” he added.

This could be the last performance in Cuba for the singer, who announced Friday in a video posted on his official Facebook account that the concert at Galiano’s Casa de la Música was a “great farewell” before leaving for Mexico, where he has scheduled “two exclusive concerts”.

One of the events, entitled Cuban Roots” will take place next Saturday, September 17, in Cancun, while the second concert will be at the Gran Mambo Café, in Mexico City, he said.

In the video, Frías also talks about the launch of “Cambio”. The new single from El Niño y la Verdad is “a song with which, I am sure, many brothers, many compatriots, many Cubans will identify, whether they are on the island or not, because the word change is very necessary today,” he concluded. .
