On Independence Day, this Wednesday, July 20, a series of activities will be carried out according to the holiday in different cities of the country. Various artists will be performing as part of the cultural agenda that MinCultura has proposed.
The traditional military parade will be taking place this time between 170th and 116th streets on the western side of Boyacá Avenue from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., as reported by Movilidad Bogotá a few days ago to the Bogotanos.
But in addition to this, both the Colombian capital and other main cities will have activities to celebrate the 212 years of the cry of independence. However, there will be a controlled passage for residents of the areas that will have restrictions.
On the other hand, the Museo de la Independencia museum located in the historic center of the city, will be exhibiting a work called “Sacred art and popular religiosity: the Church between the monarchy and the republic”, as part of the ways in which from culture is intended to celebrate this day.
Also, the neighborhood July 20 prepared a very particular parade of old cars, which will start from 1:00 pm through some streets of the neighborhood to the well-known square of July 20, as invited by the local Mayor’s Office of San Cristóbal.
There will be several activities that Bogota citizens and visitors to the capital will be able to attend, so it is recommended to schedule in advance so as not to have unforeseen events during transportation to the different plans, which by the way, are for the whole family.
