In the world of music, different professional and artistic interests are often the reasons why its members go their separate ways. Despite the time and responsibilities, there is always hope of a reunion.

These are some rock, Spanish-language pop and urban music groups that have taken the first step to get together and with them provide fans with a pinch of memories and nostalgia from when they were together for the first time.

The Fabulous Cadillacs: In 1984, a group of friends made up of Mario Siperman, Aníbal Rigozzi, Vicentico and Flavio Cianciarulo decided to create a band that, despite not having the knowledge of how to be one, decided to embark on the journey. Owners of great hits such as “Matador”, “Siguiendo la luna” and “Vasos vacios” together with Celia Cruz, the Fabulosos Cadillacs would distance themselves in 2002 and each of the members would start their solo career, Vicentico being one of the most outstanding. .

It is in 2008 that the group comes together again and releases “La luz del rhythmo”, their tenth studio album which is made up of covers, reversions of some songs and other new compositions, including “Nosotros egoístas” as a tribute to Gerardo “Toto”. Soda Stereo: Interpreters of great hits such as “De musica light” and “When the tremor passes”, this Argentine rock band positioned several of its songs in the list of “the 100 best rock songs in Spanish” of the Argentine Rolling Stone magazine.

Since 1982, the band released seven studio albums and toured Latin America multiple times until their separation in 1997 due to artistic and personal differences on the part of the members (Gustavo Cerati, “Zeta” Bosio and Charly Alberti), doing in this same year his live album “The last concert”.

The Argentine group announces its return in 2007 with the release of its album and tour “You will see me return”, where they raised more than 30 million dollars. In 2010 they had plans for a new album but it was in that same year that Gustavo Cerati had a stroke from which he was unable to recover. Currently the band is active with Zeta Bosio and Charly Alberti.

G-men: The Spanish band that emerged in Madrid in 1982 had from the beginning David Summers, Dani Mezquita Hardy, Rafa Gutiérrez Muñoz and Javier Molina as founding members. The group that made more than one dance with “Devúelveme a mi chica” and “Agüita Amarilla”, separated in 1992 for different reasons, despite the fact that each one continued with solo musical projects, none was as successful as “Men G”.

In 2001 they get together again and release “Dangerously Together”, an album full of compilations, demos and songs that were not used on other albums, where they sell more than a million copies in America alone. In 2019 they present their latest project “Resurrection” and are dedicated to touring Spain and Latin America.

Caifanes: At first, the band was formed as part of the degree work of Alejandro Marcovich’s brother, who joined in 1989, and they needed to collect funds to be able to finish the project; It is there that Saúl Hernández, Alfonso André, Sabo Romo and Diego Herrera meet and later in 1987 “Caifanes” is founded.

The group released four studio albums and one live album before splitting up in 1995 due to conflicts of personal interest between Hernández and Marcovich. In 2011 these two artists managed to make the passes and go on the “Caifanes 2011-2012” tour, but even so, Marcovich was not part of the “Caifanes” meeting in 2014.

In 2019 the band released a new single after 25 years called “Wounded” and they are currently active.

Wisin and Yandel: The musical duo formed by Juan Luis Morera Luna “Wisin” and Llandel Veguilla Malavé “Yandel” in Puerto Rico in 1998. After a break in their activity, which began in 2013, the duo reunited in 2018.

In more than 20 years of career, the duo has received multiple international awards including two Latin Grammys in 2008 and 2009 respectively. Today Wisin and Yandel are on their tour “The last mission” where they will close their artistic career in a big way.

RBD: It is a Mexican pop group created by Pedro Damián, within the telenovela “Rebelde”. It was formed on October 4, 2004 until its separation, and its last concert in Madrid, Spain on December 21, 2008.

RBD achieved multiple platinum and gold records, visited more than 23 countries and sang in 116 cities including concerts at the Maracana Stadium in Brazil and Madison Square Garden in the United States. They also sold over 15 million records worldwide.

In 2020, the band returned to music with Anahí, Maite Perroni, Christopher von Uckermann and Christian Chávez, four of its original members with a concert in September of the same year where they sold more than 300 thousand tickets and raised a little more than $11 million. of dollars.

White rat: This Argentine heavy metal band formed in 1985 in the city of Buenos Aires. She is considered a great influencer of hard rock and heavy metal in Spanish.

The band dissolved at the beginning of 1998, after several months in which the singer, Adrián Barilari, left the band for personal reasons.

OV7: Onda Vaselina or better known as OV7, is a Mexican pop band that emerged in 1989 as a children’s group created by Mexican singer and actress Julissa. In the year 2000, the group becomes independent from its founder and re-emerges with its current name and concept. In 2003, the group decided to separate to give its members the opportunity to develop independently.

The band returns to the stage in 2010, with a new album recorded live with past hits and new songs. Since then, the group has remained in force, mainly through tours and collaborations with other musical groups. with more than 2 million tickets, a record for presentations in the Mexican Republic, in addition to more than 5 million records sold.

Without flag: The Mexican-Argentine duo of romantic ballads was formed in 2000 by the Argentine Noel Schajris and the Mexican Leonel García. They broke up for the only time in 2008 and in 2015, the duo announced their reunion on social media, with a tour called “One last time”.

To date they have released five studio albums: “Sin Bandera” (2002), “De viaje” (2003), “Mañana” (2005), “Pasado” (2006) and “Una más vez” (Deluxe Edition) ( 2016). In 2019 they release their third live album together with the Mexican group, Camila, “4 latidos tour”, which was recorded at the Mexico City Arena.

Timbiriche: was a Mexican pop musical group that began as a group of children in 1982 and managed to successfully evolve into adulthood. The band was considered one of the relevant Latin pop groups of the 1980s and early 1990s. Artists such as Paulina Rubio, Thalía or Edith Márquez took their first steps through this band.
