Guadalajara (Mexico), Sep 28 (EFE).- The Spanish rock band Love of Lesbian wants to “renew vows” with its audience in Mexico on a tour in which they will do a double recital in the Mexican capital and will perform for the first time in three cities in the country.

“The Mexican public is emotionally demanding, for this reason we have to renew vows with the public by offering them novelties or things that are taken from the cellar of the repertoire as if it were a good wine and this makes us trust each other,” said vocalist Santi Balmes in press video conference

The band will begin its nine-date tour of Mexico this October 7, which will begin at the Tecate Coordenada festival in Guadalajara and will take them for the first time to places such as Toluca, Querétaro or León, in the center of the country, in addition to adding two dates in Mexico City and Puebla.

With 25 years of experience, the group of Catalan origin is known in places like Mexico City, Monterrey or Guadalajara, where they have offered recitals both solo and at festivals, the last one at Vive Latino last March.

But adding new places to his tour is the opportunity to venture out to discover music scenes and recognize the popularity they have achieved in the country, assured guitarist Jordi Roig.

“It is a leap into the void and even more so after the pandemic, that we might think that they had forgotten about us,” said Roig, highlighting the full house that his concert will have at the Metropolitan Theater, in Querétaro.

“It puts us in a state of alert, of no confidence, due to the need to look good like the first times, like the first dates,” added guitarist Julián Saldarriaga.

The band wants to “make up for lost time” after two years in which the music industry was stopped by the health crisis, which forced them to delay the release of their album “Viaje Épico Towards Nothing (VEHN)” and to compose neatly for Prepare your next production.

“There is a certain feeling of trying to make up for lost time, time is running faster than us and that creates a certain concern because the album, between a pandemic, came out 8 months late and that gave us time to reflect, to work and stay active and compose like an animal”, said Balmes.

Their live shows in Mexico are a good time to honor the group’s “concern” of not repeating the list of songs in all the concerts, so in addition to premiering the songs from “VEHN” they will take the opportunity to take pieces of their songs out of the trunk. first recordings, said Balmes.

The spaces of the tour, which will also put them on stages in the southern United States, Chile and Peru, will be used for the production of their new album that they will record during 2023 and that will probably be ready that same year. EFE
