The rock band Desakato announces its final disbandment

The Asturian punk-rock band Desakato has given the worst news to their fans. After 19 years playing and composing music, the group has decided to get off the stage and separate indefinitely due to the accumulation of physical and mental fatigue that these almost two decades of musical career have caused in them, in which they have released four studio albums and have done countless tours.

The members of the band themselves have been in charge of breaking the news to their audience. Through social networks Pablo, Gabri, Pepo, Falu and Mario have communicated to Desakato’s fans that, although it is the most difficult decision they have made throughout their career, the moment for the final goodbye has arrived. “We know that many of you will not understand why we do this, but we believe that it is what we have to do. Desakato we say goodbye as a band“, they have written from their official Twitter account.

The musicians have assured that since they started with the group in 2003 they have left their skin on the project every day. “We conceive our group with great intensity in all spheres. The level of physical and emotional energy that playing in a band like ours implies means that we have always demanded to be at the limit of our possibilities and that demand has worn us down”, they have confessed .

There will be a farewell tour in 2023

But the Asturians will not leave without saying goodbye to their live audience. Although the decision has been made and is firm, Desakato will say goodbye to his audience with one last tour that will start in February 2023, the 20th anniversary of his musical career, and will last until November of that same year.

The tour will be called The Year We Live Intensely and will go through festivals such as Viña Rock, Gazpacho Rock, Juergas Rock Festival and several more rooms before to close definitively with a date at the WiZink Center in Madrid. “We still see ourselves with the strength to leave this band in the place it deserves.
