Last Saturday, September 3, the first of the Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts at Wembley, Londonwhere he said goodbye with a tribute composed of 50 songs to the late Foo Fighters drummer.

Everyone passed by the show, from Liam Gallagher (Oasis) to Paul McCartney (The Beatles) passing through Lars Ulrich (Metallica). One of the millions of people who was aware of what was happening there was El Pirata, who on Monday morning, during the broadcast of El Pirata y su Banda (from 6:00 to 10:00 in the morning)has not missed the opportunity to talk about what he thought of the concert, which he could put “all the adjectives you can think of”.

For El Pirata, who was impressed with Taylor Hawkins’ son playing drums with Dave Grohl, “the big moment” came when Brian Johnson (AC/DC) and Lars Ulrich (Metallica) They came to share the stage to honor the late drummer.

El Pirata has also explained that this event, which has surpassed in public the tribute to Freddie Mercury (Queen) 1992, “has revived” the tendency for those great rock concerts to take place, which we could label as historical. Above you can hear everything our boat captain had to say about the tribute to Taylor Hawkins.

The TAylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts they will be “two global events celebrating the legacy and music of a rock legend”, as stated on the Foo Fighters website. One of the tributes took place, as we said, in London last Saturday, while the second will be held on September 27 at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California.

The Foo Fighters have explained that everything generated will go to Music Support and MusicCares. According to Music Support’s biography, they are an NGO aimed at helping those who work in music or live events and who have been affected by mental health problems and addictions.
