It will feature five performances that will be held from Tuesday, August 31, at 9:30 p.m.
From next Tuesday, August 31, and until Saturday, September 4, the courtyard of
IES Juan del Enzina will host the series of concerts ‘Arteleón’, which is part of the
‘Cradle of Parliamentarism Festival (F_CP21) ‘, the great leisure bet of the Department of Action and Cultural Promotion of the City of León for this summer. The musical event consists of five performances, which
will take place at 21:30 hours.
The first of them will have the presence on stage of Román Rodríguez, a native musician from León born in Neuchatel (Switzerland), with an extensive training that includes studies of saxophone, transverse flute, musical interpretation, music therapy, jazz and modern music. Founder and member of the STAB-GLAN saxophone quartet, he has been a saxophonist for Café Quijano and shared the stage with artists such as Maná, Ariel Rot, Danza Invisible, Navajita Plateá or Rosario Flores.
The saxophonist will present ‘Suerte’ (2020), fifth solo album of an instrumental nature with echoes of the Caribbean.
On Wednesday, September 1, the appointment with live music will be double. First, the group Cuatro Notes will perform, which will display their arsenal of versions of rock and pop classics, interspersing a song of their own. They will also be part of the Tri Full Jazz musical evening, a formation made up of three highly experienced musicians who always provide performances of special rigor and sensitivity in which classical jazz delights the audience.
There will be no performances on Thursday, since the concerts will resume on Friday, September 3, when the members of The Wandering Comet take the stage in the institute’s courtyard.. A band with compositions of French-style elements and touches of swing, which combines well-crafted rough voices to obtain a new perspective on some of the legendary Cardíacos numbers, defending the vitality and topicality of that repertoire.
On Saturday 4th, Rosario Granell’s voice and ukulele will be accompanied by the guitar, double bass and drums of the Swing Combo group.. A band responsible to a great extent, along with the ‘Villamajazz Swing Festival’, for the diffusion of jazz manouche or gypsy jazz in León, which now take a step forward through areas bordering the genre, placing their compass looking at the most classic rock & roll.
Entrance to all concerts is free. Invitations can be withdrawn on the same day of the performance at the Ciudad de León Auditorium box office, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with tickets being taken on Saturday on Friday and delivering a maximum of two per person.
The remaining invitations will be given one hour before the start of the event at the institute itself, until full capacity is reached.
