The most anticipated concerts of 2023 in the Region of Murcia

Pop, rock, heavy or metal lovers will be able to find their perfect concert this 2023 without leaving the Region of Murcia. Numerous national and international artists have put the Community in their sights to offer endless shows; some of which have already sold out.

Film Symphony Orchestra

On Sunday, January 22, El Batel de Cartagena will host the show by the Film Symphony Orchestra, which with its ‘Krypton’ tour hopes to gather more than 1,800 people. On this occasion, the repertoire will revolve around hero and superhero movies, including pieces from feature films such as ‘Superman’, ‘The Incredibles’ or ‘Robin Hood’. The concert, which will also take place in Murcia on Saturday the 21st, has already sold out.

Apocalyptic, Epic and Wheel

As part of their ‘The Epic Apocalypse Tour’, the symphonic metal bands Epica and Apocalyptica, supported by the progressive metal group Wheel, will give a concert on February 11 at the Gamma Hall in Murcia.

Interpol

The New York postpunk and alternative rock band, Interpol, known for songs like ‘Untitled’ or ‘C’mere’, will offer a concert on February 24 at the Sala Mamba in Murcia on the occasion of the presentation of their new album ‘The other side of make-believe’.

Pablo Alboran

Pablo Alborán, one of the most acclaimed singer-songwriters on the Spanish scene, will perform at the Plaza de Toros in Murcia on June 3 as part of the Murcia On cycle. With this concert, the man from Malaga will present his latest album ‘La cuarta hoja’, which came out on December 2nd.

Joaquin Sabina

‘Against all odds’. This is the title that gives its name to the tour with which Joaquín Sabina intends to tour Latin America, Central America and Spain. Among the stops on his tour, which will begin this February in Costa Rica, is Murcia, where he will come on July 1 to perform at the Plaza de Toros.

The Argentine actress, singer and composer, Martina Stoessel, also known as ‘Tini’, became famous for appearing in the Violetta series, on Disney Channel Latin America. With three albums published and more than 60 million views on digital platforms, now Murcians will be able to enjoy her show on Thursday, July 13 at the Plaza de Toros in Murcia.

Alejandro Sanz

More than two hours of ‘show’ is what Alejandro Sanz will offer on Saturday, July 15 in the capital’s Plaza de Toros. The singer was nominated for Album of the Year at the 2022 Latin Grammys, as his latest album ‘SANZ’ was the best-selling album in Spain in 2021.

Rod Stewart

On Tuesday, July 18, it will be the turn of British rocker Rod Stewart. Murcia has been one of the four cities in Spain chosen by the musician to carry out his tour. In music since the 60s, the artist has participated in bands such as The Jeff Beck Group and Faces. Now, after more than 40 years as a soloist, Stewart takes the stage at the Plaza de Toros in Murcia to make the audience vibrate with songs like ‘Forever young’. ‘Maggie May’ or ‘Do you think I’m sexy?’.

Iron Maiden

Without a doubt, the most ‘heavies’ Murcians are in luck. Iron Maiden visits the capital on Thursday, July 20, to give a concert at the Enrique Roca Stadium, in Nueva Condomina. It is the fourth time that the band has set foot in the Region, this time to make the public enjoy their tour ‘The Future Past Tour 2023’. Iron Maiden, considered one of the most important metal groups in history, includes Murcia among the three Spanish cities in which it will perform; the others being Barcelona (Palau San Jordi, July 18) and Bilbao (Bizkaia Arena Bec!, July 22).

Manuel Carrasco

With a gold record and more than a million albums sold throughout his career, Manuel Carrasco returns to the Murcia bullring on July 21 to present his new album ‘Corazón y flecha’.

Simply Red

On August 4th, it will be Simply Red who will play classics from their repertoire such as ‘Stars’, ‘Holding Back The Years’ or ‘Fairground’. The British group, which has sold more than 55 million records, will take the stage of the Plaza de Toros in Murcia.

Almost two years later, the Puerto Rican singer and composer, Rauw Alejandro, returns to perform in Murcia. He will be on Friday, September 15 at Espacio Nueva Condomina and he will do it in the middle of a world tour with which he will present his third album ‘Saturno’.
