The Gran Teatre del Liceu already has its own audiovisual platform. Liceu + will be released this Sunday, November 21, with the free retransmission of a concert that will be offered by the Orchester de la Opéra National de Paris, conducted by Venezuelan Gustavo Dudamel. As reported by the theater this Monday, Liceu + is “a new and ambitious project that is now beginning a first phase that will make the audiovisual content of the house visible in an orderly, functional and attractive way.”
Liceu + content is free with prior registration, and Liceu subscribers will be able to enter with the same passwords they use to access the personal area
The main objective of the platform will be to provide content open to everyone and in this way contribute “to make opera more accessible” and complement the experience of live opera “through specific content on shows of the artistic season, interviews in depth, reports, podcasts, social and educational projects, among others ”.
Liceu + will also offer all the online broadcasts that take place in the theater, from conferences, training sessions, press conferences or concerts and recitals, as will be the case on November 21, where all registered people will be able to enjoy the live concert Gustavo Dudamel with the Orchester de la Opéra National de Paris, starting at 5 pm, in what will be his first international concert in this new stage.
The new platform will also be a space to remember historical moments of the operatic theater, and thus, within the section “Essentials of the Liceu”, it will be possible to find a compilation of the most outstanding moments of the 175-year history of the Gran Teatre.
Liceu + has been developed by the audiovisual platforms unit of the Mediapro Group’s Innovation area. The platform is accessible from any web browser and will soon have applications for mobile devices. It is also compatible with Smart TV, PC, tablet and Smartphone.
Liceu + content is free with prior registration, and Liceu subscribers will be able to enter with the same passwords they use to access the personal area. This project will grow and develop in line with the theater’s programming. The next phases of the platform will be presented throughout this season.
The platform is available in Catalan, Spanish and English, and all the videos will have subtitles in these three languages, apart from the original language in which they are recorded. As for the podcasts, they will also be available in Catalan and Spanish.
We would like to say thanks to the writer of this post for this outstanding content
