The Italian Eleonora Strino stars in one of the farewell concerts of 6Cuerdas

The Italian Eleonora Strino is one of the artists that make up the poster of the XVI Festival 6Cuerdas, which has been taking place since last the 10th between Tenerife, La Gomera and Gran Canaria. This week, the exhibition dedicated to the guitar programs four new concerts in its closing program.

The calendar begins today Thursday with Héctor Izquierdo in the La Bowie room, in La Laguna; on Friday, Eleonora Strino will perform at the Casa del Prebendado Pacheco, in Tegueste; on Saturday it will be the turn of the Brazilian Anna Trea (Brazil), at the Café Teatro Rayuela in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, and on Sunday, the 20th, Jonay Martín will perform at the Casa del Vino in El Sauzal. All concerts begin at 8:00 p.m.

Eleonora Strino grew up in a creative home. Her father and her sister were important figurative painters, but it was music that attracted Eleonora. Since she was a teenager she began to play the guitar and when she first heard Jim Hall play with Bill Evans she knew that her destiny was the jazz.

He studied at the Naples Conservatory, then at the Conservatorium Van Amsterdam, with Martin van Itterson, Jesse van Ruller and Maarten van de Gritten. Since he began his professional career as first guitarist in the orchestra of the Italian composer Roberto De Simone, his life has been a succession of small and large achievements, beginning with participation in the main festivals of jazz from Italy and, little by little, reaching international sample amounts.

He landed in Tenerife after having collaborated with artists such as Dado Moroni, Adrianne West and Emanuele Cisi, among many others. international magazine Jazz Guitar Today dedicated one of his covers to her this year, placing her on a par with other international stars such as Peter Bernstein and Kurt Rosenwinkel.
