The Fundición room extends its temporary closure until January 24, as it has communicated tonight through its social networks, with which its five concerts from Tuesday 4 to Saturday 8 of January included in the ‘Off Actual’ section are canceled. Sources from the organization of the festival organized by the Government of La Rioja, have confirmed to this newspaper this decision, taken, according to what they said, by those responsible for the concert hall “from responsibility with safe culture” and in light of the new restrictions.

The canceled concerts were among the best of the program: that of the Madrid soul band The Clams (day 4), the Andalusian funk rock of O’Funk’illo (5), the soul rock of Aurora & The Betrayers (6), the psycho-glam-rock of the Argentine Basque trio Capsula (7) and the Eusko-rock of Huntza (8); a poster of the Fundición room but that contributed to Actual 2022 the rock point that is missing from the ‘official section’.

Those in charge of Fundición, continuing this same year of the well-remembered Biribay Jazz Club, already announced on the 20th a first temporary closure with the hope of reopening precisely coinciding with Actual. Tonight, after the new restrictions approved by the Regional Government Council, they have announced that they are extending the closure until January 24, which includes seven more concerts apart from the five ‘off’.

“The situation – they say in their message – is, once again, desperate (…). We postpone all scheduled concerts (we will announce dates in a few days) ». The tickets purchased may be exchanged for subsequent concerts or request a refund (through attcliente@woutick.es.).
