SEOUL, Sept. 26 (Yonhap) — The southern port city of Busan will be bathed in purple lights, the signature color of K-pop supergroup BTS, before and after a concert in the city next month, its organizers have said, this Monday.

Hybe, the entertainment company behind BTS, said on Weverse that it will hold “The City” project to celebrate the free concert in the port city, titled “Yet To Come In Busan”, which will be held on October 15 at Asiad Main Stadium, to support Busan’s bid to host the 2030 World Expo. Weverse is a platform for the K-pop fan community managed by the company.

“The City” project offers various events related to the K-pop group in the city where the concert will be held, before and after the concert. Hybe carried out this project for the first time in Las Vegas, in April, during the days of the group’s concerts in the American city, offering a wide variety of different events.

“The City in Busan” will kick off with an exhibition reviewing the septet’s nine-year history, which will be held at Haeundae LCT, a high-rise complex facing the sea, on October 5.

On October 7, the main Busan location of the Lotte department store, as well as the Lotte World Mall store in Seoul, will simultaneously open special stores selling merchandise for the Busan concert.

Lotte World Adventure Busan, an amusement park located in Busan, will be illuminated in purple, and will hold a laser show and fireworks with the music of the band, from October 14 to 31. In addition, there will be outdoor parties, at night, on October 15 and 16.

Five hotels in the port city – Busan Paradise Hotel, Busan Grand Josun, Busan Park Hyatt, Busan Lotte Hotel and Fairfield by Marriott Busan Songdo Beach – will offer group-inspired menus, and put into operation BTS-themed photo zones.
