Tattoos, music and art: this will be the Tattoo Music Fest 2022

2022 has been the year for the return of concerts, festivals and massive events in general. After two years of the pandemic, the entertainment industry has been successfully revived, bringing back live music.

One of the most anticipated returns will take place on May 21 and 22, at the Autopista Norte Events Center, with the seventh edition of the Tattoo Music Fest.which has strengthened cultural ties with different countries and some of the most recognized tattoo festivals in Latin America.

The festival presents an ambitious commitment with a poster made up of more than 20 national and international bands. Genres such as hardcore, heavy metal, rock and hip hop will be protagonists in an event that promises to delight its attendees with an environment full of music and tattoo art.

Tattoo Music Fest has been characterized by having great exponents and national and international bands on its stage, giving space to a wide variety of genres. In this edition, Alcolirykoz, La Etnnia, Mental Reality and Apache They will arrive on stage to raise their rhymes in unison with the public.

As has been customary in past editions, loud sounds will be an important focus within the festival, guaranteeing adrenaline and pogos during the two days of concerts.

The official poster was recently completed with two announcements of international stature: on the one hand, Volumes’ first visit to Colombiaa group from Los Angeles, California, with a progressive metalcore sound to rumble the stage of the festival.

In addition, event organizers confirmed the return of the American group Stick to your Guns, after eight years since their last visit to Colombia. From Orange County, California, they are one of the most recognized hardcore punk bands.

From the United States they will also participate in the Tattoo Music Fest Brujería, Death Before Dishonor and Uada. Morphium and The Broken will come from Spain; from Costa Rica, Akasha, Totem and Outside the Circle; from Venezuela, Dischord; from Ecuador, Minipony; and to complete the international quota, from Mexico, Los Viejos, Ace Kool, Strike Master, Parazit, Tanus, Medical Negligence, Pressive, Railrod and Nuclear Chaos.

The local flag will be carried by La Pestilencia, Masacre, Koyi K Utho, Perpetual Warfare, Ethereal, Lupus, Vein, Surviving, Hialina, Awaken, El Sagrado, Hellfish, La Blanca Ofelia, Pitbull, Apolo 7 and Duplex.

More than 200 tattoo artists

Along with music, the art of tattooing is the other great protagonist of the festival. In this seventh edition, more than 200 tattoo artists, local groups and independent brands will come from countries such as Argentina, Ecuador, Mexico, Venezuela and Bolivia to participate in the different categories that will be evaluated by a select group of 11 juries, among which talent stands out. Colombian like Juan Pajo -tattoo artist of figures such as J Balvin- and César Violent, who has been an inspiration for many tattoo artists thanks to his career and international recognition.

Also, they are part of the team Colombia winning artists in previous editions of the festival, such as Rick Bizarre and Johan Moreno, noted for their style, experience and techniques reflected in their work of color realism; Juan David Rendón, recognized for his skill in the neo-traditional style, and Ozcar Cruz, experienced in painting manga drawings on skin.

From Mexico, Ignis participates, an artist with extensive experience and technique in the neo-traditional style; Hakunita, tattoo artist and artist who recently collaborated with bands like Slipknot to redesign their merchandise as part of the knotfest in Mexico City, and Lilian Raya, a tattoo artist passionate about the details and precision of her technique in manga drawing and Pop Surrealist Tattoo Art.

Iván Black participates from Venezuela, recognized for his style DotWork-BlackWork, winner of several editions of the festival. And from Ecuador comes the Artist EDDIE 88, recognized for his experience, technique and style in lettering to be part of the international jury.

Another of the central shows of the festival is performed by the Colombian Jacob Angel, remembered for his unique vampirist style, inspired by his fascination with dark literature, horror classics, and also a love of reading authors such as Edgar Allan Poe, added to his liking for Batman.

In this edition of the Tattoo Music Fest there will also be alternative entertainment experiences such as BMX, graffiti and an art gallery with works by guest tattoo artists.
