The pedestrian zone of the Avenida de Canarias in Vecindario hosts this Saturday 24 the 1st exhibition of Safe and Sustainable Mobility organized by the City Council of Santa Lucía de Tirajana. Exhibition and demonstration of vehicles that work with renewable energies, training talks, driver education circuit, children’s activities and a concert are part of the program that will take place from 10 in the morning until 8 in the afternoon.
Throughout the morning you can see the exhibition in dozens of stands, along with areas with recreational activities for boys and girls. Training talks will be given in the central tent. At 11 am the engineer specializing in mobility, Miguel Morales González, will speak about ‘Cities for people’, a proposal for the rehumanisation of cities. At 12 noon, the expert in automobile technology, Felix Miguel Mico, will speak about ‘Hybrid and plug-in hybrid technology’.
In the afternoon, starting at 4:00 p.m., in addition to the exhibition, there will be children’s activities and a driver’s education circuit. At 6:00 p.m. there will be the gimkana ‘now together’, a family test where you can go around a circuit to demonstrate skills. In the afternoon at 6 pm, César Acosta, head of Road Safety for the Spanish Federation of Cycle Tourism, will give a talk entitled ‘Present and future of better mobility in cities with the use of bicycles’. At 7:00 p.m., a member of the Ratavesan Association will talk about the experience of mobility from the taxi sector.
Along some 800 meters in dozens of stalls you will be able to learn about the latest developments in electric and hybrid vehicles, there will also be children’s activities with entertainers and training talks to make the population aware of the need to move towards a model of sustainable mobility and safe
