Singer who was applauded on America’s Got Talent dies

(TELEMUNDO ATLANTA).- Singer Zuri Craig, who was applauded when he participated in the television program “America’s Got Talent”, died at the age of 44, as confirmed by his family through a statement.

“It is with great sadness that we announce the transition of our beloved son, brother and friend, Zuri Craig,” said the message, quoted by People in spanish on Sunday.

Although the family confirmed the sad news, they did not specify the artist’s cause of death. “Thank you in advance for his prayers. Please honor our privacy during this unimaginable time of mourning. Official details later,” said the aforementioned statement.

According to reports from People en Español and Meter, Zuri Craig had an extensive musical career, where her participation in America’s Got Talent is remembered. In that reality showcompeted with his partner Jeffrey Lewis, with whom he had created the group ‘The CraigLewis Band’ and with whom he participated in 2015 in the tenth season of the program, when he received a huge ovation.

People detailed that the two artists had met in college, where they quickly hit it off thanks to music. So, they began to use YouTube to present their subjects and begin to forge their path in the artistic world.
