irish singer Sinead O’Connor announced this Friday that he is canceling all the concerts scheduled for this year to recover his “health and well-being” after the death of his son Shane17, last January.
“We would like to respectfully announce that due to the continuing grief over the tragic death of our beloved son Shane earlier this year, Sinead O’Connor will not perform live in 2022,” the note said.
The text also thanked the singer’s “friends and fans” for their “support and understanding” during “this period.”
“The love shown has been a source of great comfort and peace for Sinéad,” he concluded.
Shane was found dead on january 8after his disappearance had been reported two days earlier in Dublin and appeals will be made to locate him.
The family lost track of him when the young man left a medical center where he was under surveillance for suicide risk.

Sinead O’Connor55, took to Twitter to pay tribute to her teenage son, who she had with the folk singer donal lunnyin a message: “My beautiful son, Nevi’im Nesta Ali Shane O’Connor, the light of my life, decided to end his earthly anguish today and is now with God.”
Singerwho changed her name to Shuhada’Davitt in 2018, also posted a song by Bob Marley, which she dedicated to her son, one of four the Irish woman has had.
Specialists emphasize that suicide deaths never have a single trigger, but are the result of psychological, biological and social factors that have treatment. People with suicidal behavior and their relatives have at their disposal health services and emergency telephone numbers where they can receive help. (EFE)
