Sia signs up for remixes with R3hab and Michael Calfan

sia In the past decade, he became one of the reference names in the world music industry. With his solo songs (Chandelier, Elastic heart, Big girls cry, Alive, Cheap thrills…) or his compositions for other artists (Rihanna’s Diamonds, Beyoncé’s Pretty Hurts, Jennifer Lopez’s Limitless…) reached the top of the sales charts but for some years his followers have not been able to put a new musical project in their mouths.

Since 2016 with This is acting, the Australian has released two records: a Christmas album and a soundtrack. At the moment there is no sign that the soloist is going to get down to work with a new studio album but in recent months she has joined the trend of remixes along with two special guests: R3hab and Michael Calfan.

After participating in the album of versions of Neneh Cherry in which Sia collaborated with the song Manchildthe singer-songwriter has released two remixes: Courage to change and Unstoppable. These are the first songs of her own (rather new versions of some of her latest hits included in This is actin and Music OST) that she has released in recent years, although a few months ago we heard her collaborating with Sean Paul on dynamite.

We must remember that a couple of years ago Sia publicly confessed that she was suffering from a rare disease that had disrupted many of her plans: “Hello, I am suffering from chronic pain, a neurological disease, Ehlers Danlos, and I just wanted to tell those of you who are in pain, whether physical or emotional, that I love them, keep going. Life is fucking hard. Pain is demoralizing but you’re not alone,” he wrote on his official Twitter profile.

That moment ensured that the neurological disease he refers to was caused by routine surgery a few years ago. “I’m taking time off to do intensive therapy for complex post-traumatic stress disorder,” she said.

The recovery seems to be slow and the singer at the moment does not have in mind to release a new studio album in the short term. At least that is what it seems since she has not given any clue that she has decided to enter the recording studio at the moment. A circumstance that she is sure of is not preventing her from composing for the day that she decides to reclaim her place in the forefront of the music scene.
