The Catalan group, which was already well received in two editions of ‘Palencia Sonora’, repeats its success on a very hot day

The heat did not prevent a crowded Plaza de San Miguel from calling out the name of Ladilla Rusa after two in the afternoon. Hits like ‘KITT and the cars of the past’ or ‘Macaulay Culkin’ were danced for just over an hour, but long enough for the people of Palencia to make the music of Ladilla Rusa a
San Antolin special. There were those who resorted to fountains and water pistols to combat the high temperatures and have fun in a very unique concert and more for a Saturday vermouth.

It was difficult to make a hole somewhere that gave the shade. The bravest and most supportive of the group that vindicates their charnego pride did not mind waiting almost fifteen minutes until Tania and Víctor appeared on stage. His feather boas, suburban grunge style and rhythm of electronic music softened with rumba made the attendees forget about the time and the heat to dance as if there were no tomorrow, even if only a few hours had passed since noon.

The fountain in Plaza San Miguel, which is not large, served as a sprinkler for the occasional heated person who began to splash all the attendees while ‘KITT and the cars of the past’ played, a song that was the final climax.

The sound left much to be desired, but the San Miguel audience jumped and danced until the last song

“Nothing has been heard well, which has not prevented me from dancing with the beer up,” said Mónica Martín, one of the effusive attendees. The sound left much to be desired, since the lyrics of the songs were barely understood. That was not a problem for the most enthusiastic to jump and dance during the premiere of
‘Vermouth Sarao’. «The public wanted to hear more songs, but since they didn’t sound good, we haven’t asked for them», confirmed Álvaro Merino.

The group formed by Tania Lozano and Víctor F. Clares emerged in 2017 when the two friends were having a few beers in Barcelona. They announced the group as if it were a joke, but that joke is long gone, and after several successes, their gypsy electropop has filled concerts like ‘
Sound Palencia‘ of 2019 and 2021, where they began to reap their first successes. «Our concerts are very festive, people have given everything. Whenever we come to Palencia they welcome us great”, the singer Víctor F. Clares was proud.
