Sebastián Yatra performed this weekend in Bogotá, Colombia, and it was at the concert he gave last Friday, October 28, when, one of his dancers stopped the show to propose to his girlfriend, that also be part of the team of dancers of the artist from Medellín.
The concert was about to end when Jake, a Yatra dancer, stopped the concert, took the microphone, and turned to his girlfriend, with whom he has been dating for more than four years, to ask her to marry him in front of more than 14,000 people.
The romantic marriage proposal
“She is my girlfriend, for more than four years and I can’t live without her, Please, Colombia, give me a moment, I have a question for her,” The young man began by saying that he was very moved by the moment he was experiencing on stage. Although he is used to dancing in front of so many people, that is not the same as declaring himself and you can tell in his voice that he was quite nervous.
“I love you more than anything,” he continues in English, since Spanish is not his language. “In you I have found my best friend, my soulmate and my everything. I dream of you every night, and you are what I like to see when I wake up every morning”, the audience throughout this speech can not stop screaming excited by what is happening in front of them.
“We’ve been dating for four years and every day of those four years I’ve been certain that I want to spend the rest of my life with you.” Next, the dancer kneels down, takes out a ring and asks her the question that the entire audience has been waiting for: “Will you marry me?” To which she responds with a resounding yes and giving him a kiss while the spectators applaud them.
Now this emotional moment has been shared through social networks by many of the fans who attended the concert and wanted to record it. What’s more, it has gone viral for example on TikTok, where we can read comments like: “Crying for strangers is my passion” or “tired of being a spectator”.
Sebastián Yatra also wanted to share this emotional moment through his Instagram profile, where you can see that the artist and the dancer were in cahoots to give this wonderful surprise to Ana, his girlfriend.
