O Son do Camiño-Perseidas: Covid security measures for concerts in Santiago

The concerts of The Sound of the Way-Perseids begin this Thursday in Santiago de Compostela and the organization has established numerous security measures and a mobility plan to reduce the risk of coronavirus infection. Rozalén, Andrés Suárez, Xoel López, Beret, Estopa, Loquillo, Melendi, Raphael, Izal, Ara Malikian, Furious Monkey House, Sabela, Pablo Lesuit, Guadi Galego, Maren and David Rees are the artists who will take the stage at O ​​Monte of Gozo.

The enclosure is composed of five differentiated and separate sectors physically in which there will be a maximum of 1,000 attendees they will not be able to move from one area to another. Each of the areas will have a bar, toilets and independent entrances and exitsfor both the public and the workers.

Attendees will have a mobile application (Gopick app) to order at the festival bars from your seat with the aim of avoiding queues, since they will receive a notification when their order is ready to go to pick it up at the rapid collection points. The entire enclosure also has hydroalcoholic gel dispensers, both in public areas and in work areas.

Protection and security

Attendees must exit the enclosure in a staggered manner. The first eviction shift will be for people located in the Mazarelos, Trinidade and Camiño Francés areas, while the second will be that of Algalia and Faxeira.

The event will be controlled by a Forward Command Post de la Axega in collaboration with the Directorate General of Emergencies and Interior, which will be coordinated with the groups of Local Civil Protection and with him own sanitary service of the festival. O Son do Camiño-Perseidas will have a specific Self-Protection Plan that includes a Covid-19 protocol that guarantees a correct implementation of the pertinent sanitary norms.

The organization also developed a mobility plan coordinated with different security forces and authorities to guarantee staggered access for attendees. The public will also be able to obtain information on the Covid-19 protocol through web, social networks, mailing to attendees, static signage and screens on the premmises.

Shuttle buses

The public transport system of Santiago de Compostela TUSSA will launch during the days of the concerts (between Wednesday, July 14 and Sunday, August 8) the service of city ​​bus shuttles. Attendees will be able to choose this means of transport to move between the center of Santiago de Compostela (Rúa do Hórreo, railway station bus lane) and the area of ​​the Vero Boquete de San Lázaro stadium (Avda.
