His announced concert in Colombia for 2022 was canceled

The gothic group Tristania announced that their musical career will not continue after little more than a quarter of a century of activity and seven studio albums. Through social networks, the Scandinavian team stated:

“After 26 years on the international metal scene, this week the members of Tristania made the decision to end the group’s career. This means that future plans, including a scheduled tour of Latin America in December, are cancelled. .

Fighting through these years that have been as challenging for us as for the rest of the world, we have been eager to move on, with the Latin American tour as the next big step. However, last week news came of a very serious medical situation for a relative of the band, which makes it impossible to continue with short and long-term plans. This surprised us and we are very sorry to share it.

Tristania is a band without concessions in art. It has never been an option for us to offer fans something that is not 100 percent of expectations. This moment could not have been worse, and it is sad that we will not be able to meet our friends from Latin America again. We have always had a special relationship with them.”

Tristania’s concert in Bogotá was scheduled for Tuesday, December 6. This visit was postponed for two years, since it was originally scheduled for September 2020, but the pandemic was postponing the performance.

“Darkest White” was the band’s seventh and final album. It was launched in 2013 with the production of Christer André Cederberg (Anathema).
