Noel Gallagher attacks System of a Down: “It’s the worst band in the world” | rock garage

Noel Gallagherfounder and former member of Oasis, has cataloged a group as “the worst in history”. For Gallagher, it’s about system of a Downa band that rose to fame in the 1990s (along with Oasis). The British composer generates controversy again with a comment of that style. In recent years, he has shown himself to be the detractor of more than one musical project around the globe.

Gallagher’s comment in context

Earlier this month, Noel Gallagher offered a interview in the middle Far Out Magazine. In it, the British musician explicitly pointed to system of a Down What “the worst band in history and in the world”. In this way, Gallagher detracted from the career of the Californian band with a successful career of almost 30 years and said:

“Have you ever looked up to heaven and asked, ‘Am I grateful to be alive? After listening to System of a Down, I thought I was alive to listen to the shittiest band of all time,” Gallagher commented uncensoredly.

As if that were not enough, the former Oasis lashed out again: «Of all the bands of the past and those that will come in the future, I was alive to hear the worst who was out there.”

It’s not the first time he’s done this

As Far Out Magazine itself states and all fans of the Briton know, this is not the first time this has happened. On other occasions, even while in Oasis, Noel Gallagher lashed out at bands like Blur, for example. In the 90s, blur became the eternal rival of Oasis, because they were the most famous bands of Britpop. Gallagher “attacked” the London band on more than one occasion.

Added to this, and more recently, Noel Gallagher came to make fun of Coldplay. He even went so far as to say that Harry Styles he was a person “who had nothing to say or show.” The comment about System of a Down is one more of the polemics in which he has been involved.
