Myriam Hernández will begin her most extensive tour in the United States in New York

The Chilean singer which will receive this year the Award for Musical Excellence awarded by the Latin Recording Academy, will begin in New York on October 7 what it describes as the longest tour of its career in the United States, where it will offer 20 concerts.

Hernandez will begin his “Mi Paraiso” tour in the town of Westbury (Long Island) in New York, and will continue with New Jersey and Connecticut, to conclude on November 13 in North Carolina, according to a press release.

The Latin Recording Academy reported this Thursday that Hernández, the Spanish Rosario Flores, the Brazilian Rita Lee, the Argentine Amanda Miguel and the Venezuelan Yordano will receive the recognition during a private ceremony on November 16 in Las Vegas.

Hernández, with three decades of experience, is the first Chilean artist to receive this award, which is granted to “performers who have made contributions of outstanding artistic value to Latin music during their careers.”

In that same event, the Spanish composer and producer Manolo Díaz, the Cuban saxophonist and clarinetist Paquito D’Rivera and the Mexican bassist Abraham Laboriel will receive the Board of Directors Award.

The tour of the interpreter of hits such as “El hombre que yo amo”, “Smells like danger”, “Herida” or “I’ve come back for you”, among others, will also reach Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Maryland, Florida, Texas, Louisiana, Georgia and North Carolina, to interpret those songs that the public made their own as well as new compositions.
