The tour “Boarding!” of Wizard of Oz has suffered an unexpected and hard setback that will prevent the next scheduled concerts from being held in the extensive roadmap that has recently continued to grow and demonstrate the great success of this stage of the band. The concerts that were to take place in San Juan de Aznalfarache (Seville) Y Caceres have had to be suspended given the sick leave of Patricia Tapia Y Zetathe two vocalists of the formation, who recently had to go through the emergency services.
This weekend, the days June 24 and 25were marked for the aforementioned performances of Mägo de Oz within the album presentation tour ‘black flag’, but as the band has communicated from its networks, its two vocalists have had to go through emergencies. First it was Patricia who seems to be dealing with possible anemia, and when the group had found in Clau Violettevocalist of Astray Valleya possible substitute, the news arrived that Zeta, yesterday, would have had to go to the emergency services with a picture of vomiting and diarrhea, which definitely, one day after these concerts, has led to the their suspension.
This has been the content of the statement published by the band: “Sometimes, even if you try with all your might, fate has one more test prepared for you on this long road that is life and it trips you up. Patricia, last Wednesday, was in the emergency room for possible anemia (she is still pending more tests). Given this news, we started looking for a substitute who could or dared to prepare 20 songs in a day and a half to be able to do the show in Seville. There was a brave one who accepted the challenge and got down to work. That person is Clau Violette of the group Astray Valley. Yesterday afternoon she called us Zeta and informed us that she was in the emergency room with symptoms of vomiting and diarrhea. After several tests, she is diagnosed with an intestinal infection.”
“With only a few hours left to go on a trip to Seville and Cáceres, and given the impossibility of also looking for a substitute for Zeta, we are obliged to inform the promoters of said concerts that, obviously, Mägo cannot do the shows. without Zeta or Patri (and without a replacement due to the short reaction time available)”.
“Mägo de Oz apologizes to all the fans and promoters for this unfortunate situation, totally unexpected and frustrating. From here all of us who form Mägo send them a huge hug to give them a little encouragement and with the hope that they will recover as soon as possible”.
From MariskalRock we join the wish for the quickest and most complete recovery of the two singers, whom we hope to see very soon returning to the stage and preparing that album. ‘Love and Oz II’ of which we begin to know more details some days ago.
