Luxury brands rule the red carpet at the Billboard Latin Music Awards

MIAMI – Luxury brands and haute couture houses abounded on the varied red carpet of the 2022 edition of the Billboard Latin Music Awards, held at the Watsco Center in the city of Miami. The fan of Latin music showed all its colors, ages and styles.

The four guests of honor, Chayanne, Raphael, Christina Aguilera and Nicky Jam, topped the best dressed lists, as well as Mexican hosts Jaime Camil and Kate del Castillo.

The green, turquoise blue and hot pink colors shone between a lot of black and white and the occasional neon yellow, like the dresses of former Mexican Miss Universe Andrea Meza and American singer-songwriter Becky G.

FEW DARING

The women wore elegant designs, many from haute couture houses such as Argentina’s Emilia Mernes, who arrived dressed in Versace. Her look was one of the most daring of a night in which glamor abounded among feminine designs.

Those who were more adventurous with their outfits and even their companions were the men, especially Maluma and Rauw Alejandro.

The Colombian paraded in a traditional suit until he reached the pants, because instead of reaching the ankles they were shorts that he combined with white socks and black moccasins with shiny buckles. Maluma paraded with the new singers Paulina and Abril, the first two artists of his recently inaugurated label Royalty Records.

For his part, Rosalía’s Puerto Rican boyfriend appeared with bright blue hair that he has shown on social networks and flanked by two characters dressed as aliens, with heads of a tone very similar to his hair.

Patricia Manterola also paraded in blue. The former Garibaldi member appeared in an outfit with a short skirt, corset and lots of rhinestones, reminiscent of the fashion of the 2000s.

Sober as usual, Raphael, the man of the night, paraded in a black tuxedo over a white shirt that closed with a black bow around his neck. Also very elegant and in black, the Cuban Elíades Ochoa surprised, who by the way revealed that he had been able to connect with his family on the island, which is dealing with the devastating effects of Hurricane Ian.

LATIN AMERICA AND LUXURY

One of the most successful in his outfit was Jaime Camil, who wore a green suit by the Mexican designer Tomorrowland over a white t-shirt. “I’m ready to have fun,” said the actor, whose series on the life of Vicente Fernández is number one among Netflix users in the United States.

Mexican singer Cristina Eustace paraded in a dress by designer Mitzy, who celebrated her career in Los Angeles over the weekend, with the presence of great stars from the entertainment world such as Gaby Spanic and Maribel Guardia.

Colombians Manuel Turizo and the members of Piso 21 wore modern and informal designs from the Balenciaga brand.
