According to public health guidelines, attendees will be required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to attend the festival this year.

People who are not vaccinated, must show a negative result of the COVID-19 test within 24 hours, during the 4 days of the festival. More information about the process and requirements to attend the festival will be available in early July.

Meanwhile, the mayor of Chicago thanked the organizers for working with the city to make the event safe this year.

“Here in Chicago, the word ‘Lollapalooza’ has always been synonymous with summer, great music, and four days of unforgettable fun, which made last year’s decision to postpone it even more difficult,” Mayor Lori Lightfoot said in a release.

“Now, less than a year later and armed with a vaccine that is safe, effective and widely available, we can bring back one of the most iconic summer music festivals in our city. I want to thank the Lollapalooza team for working closely with the city to create a reopening strategy that prioritizes safety and I can’t wait for festival goers to return to Grant Park this summer, “added Lightfoot
