Live! Free concert for 1,000 people this Saturday at the Parque de la Exposición

The first large-format concert at the national level since the start of the covid-19 pandemic, with a permitted capacity of 1,000 people and under the biosafety protocols against the coronavirus, will be held this Saturday, July 17 at the Parque de la Exposición , in the center of Lima.

Admission to this concert will be free – for a total of 1,000 people, after a draw – and basic measures such as social distancing, double mask, alcohol disinfection and temperature control.

The concert ‘For the Reactivation of Music’ is co-organized by the Ministry of Culture and the Municipality of Lima, under the auspices of private companies, as part of the Activating Culture program.

Cumbia, salsa, folklore and more

The activity will take place from 3:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Saturday 17, at the Nicomedes Santa Cruz amphitheater in the Exhibition Park, with 5 renowned groups of cumbia, salsa, folklore, fusion and electronic music: Armonía 10, Son Tentación, Olaya Sound System, Amaranta and Chemical Neon.

“In addition to the show, attendees will also have the restaurant service (sale of food and non-alcoholic beverages) in the space adjacent to the amphitheater,” said the Culture sector, through a press release.

Tickets will be completely free. “The mechanism to access them will be through a raffle where they must first register on the platform of Teleticket and sign up for the 1,000 ticket drawing, ”added the ministry.

The platform will be enabled today at 11:59 p.m. and will close on Wednesday the 14th at 11:59 p.m. The list of the 1000 people drawn will be published on Thursday, July 15, through the networks of the Ministry of Culture. They will only be able to access the concert over 18 years of age.

The group ‘Son Tentación’ will also perform this Saturday at the Parque de la Exposición.

Pilot concert

The entry of the attendees will be done through the scanning of the national identity document (DNI) as the only mechanism for validating the entry and a bracelet will be placed to distinguish in which sector it will be located each participant.

Temperature measurement, double mask use validation and hand disinfection will also be carried out at different stations.

The public will be organized in groups of trust or in pairs, whose locations will be previously distributed in the spectator area and separated by 1.50 meters. The transit spaces will be duly separated and marked. The exit door will be different from the entrance door.

The show will begin with the performance of DJ-Chemical Neon. After that, Amaranta will be on stage. Next, the group Olaya Sound System will perform, followed by the salsa orchestra Son Tentación.

Finally, the Armonía 10 concert will close. “All this will be carried out in compliance with all the protocols that the Ministry of Culture and the authorization from the Ministry of Health ”, stressed the Culture sector.
