JAZZ FESTIVAL

A Chicago Labor Day tradition, the Chicago Jazz Festival in Millennium Park features performances by local and national talent. The festival takes place from Thursday to Sunday and admission is free. More information here.

Puerto Rican Party

The 29th edition of Fiesta Boricua in Humboldt Park, with music, crafts and Puerto Rican food. This year the festival celebrates the town of Ponce. The Fiesta Boricua takes place on the 3rd and 4th in the Division and California. More information here.

FREE WRESTLING IN THE PARK

Wrestling competition for the title of champion of Logan Square. The event returns on September 3 starting at noon at Unity Park, 2636 N. Kimball Ave. Learn More here.

BULLS-FEST

The Chicago Bulls celebrate Labor Day weekend with their annual 2-day festival to celebrate the team through sports, art, basketball tournaments, music, and the appearance of star Bulls players.

Bulls Fest takes place on Saturday and Sunday around Wood Street and Damen Avenue and in the atrium of the United Center. More information here.

BIKE THE DRIVE

Cycle Lake Shore Drive, without a single car, from north to south on Sunday from 6:30 am to 10:30 am from Hollywood to 57th Street. To enter press here.

NAVY PIER

The Great American Lobster Fest will kick off, where you can enjoy lobsters brought from the East Coast and seafood, with live music and activities for the whole family.

Billed as the largest seafood festival in the Midwest, the festival takes place Friday through Sunday. For information and tickets click here.

On Labor Day, the Bitter Jester Music Festival will give way to a concert competition between emerging artists at the Beer Garden on the pier. The free event will take place from 1 to 8 pm Monday. More information is available here.

AFRICAN ART FESTIVAL

The African Arts Festival in Washington Park begins Friday and runs through Monday, 5 from noon to 10 pm on Friday and from 10 am to 10 pm More information here.

NATIONAL FILM DAY

Saturday marks “National Movie Day,” with $3 admission at 40 Chicago-area movie theaters, including AMC Theaters and Regal Cinemas. More information here.

THE LUMINEERS CONCERT
