MEDITERRANEAN

Zahara, Manel, Nil Moliner, Los Chikos del Maíz, Ciudad Jara, El Kanka and Kutxi Romero are the names of the artists and groups that will sound, from September 16 to 26, within the framework of the second edition of Vila-real Alive, the series of concerts born last year to close the official summer and welcome autumn, with the aim of invigorating and reactivating the city’s economy and cultural activity, diminished by the pandemic of the covid, in this case with performances by emerging and consolidated figures on the national music scene.

Promoted by the City Council of Real Village, in collaboration with the promoter The Music Republic -the same one that organizes the Arenal Sound, festival that the coronavirus forced to suspend in 2020 and also in this 2021- the appointment is added to those that have been carried out throughout the province and, as pointed out by the Councilor for Tourism and Fiestas, Diego Vila, “are a tourist and cultural attraction.”

For Vila, «this proposal reinforces our brand Vila-real Ciudad de Festivals and it goes on the line of the musical and cultural programming that has been developing throughout the pandemic, with safety and prevention protocols that have worked correctly, without risk to the public, and that have revealed that the culture is safe. The festivals have proven to be energizers of the city and contribute to supporting the local economy.

Space

Again, the Virgen del Carmen school campus, which is usually used as a parking lot for the games that Villarreal CF plays at the Estadio de la Cerámica, is the one chosen to set up the stage for the concerts and chairs for the public. In this sense, Councilor Vila has taken the opportunity to thank both those responsible for the educational center and the club yellow the free transfer of this space which, as he asserts, “is limited and open air, so it meets the appropriate conditions for holding this type of show.”

Likewise, the mayor emphasizes that heThe concerts will have a limited capacity and «the corresponding protocols and measures dictated by the prevention regulations for covid-19 will be established for the audience. The tickets, for which the price is not yet known, will go on sale next week and can be purchased through the web www.wegow.com.

The cycle of level performances will give continuity to the musical events prepared by the Junta de Festes to celebrate, as far as possible, the patron saint festivities of the Mare de Déu de Gràcia, which will start on Friday, September 3 and end on Sunday 12, provided that the evolution of the pandemic allows it.
