Recent statements we have from Rob Halford, lead singer of Judas Priest, in which tells us about the state of health of Richie Faulkner during the interview that Metal God had with Mariano Muniesa facing the great report that has been the cover of The Heavy number 436, they gave us hope to soon have the guitarist recovered from his serious heart problem, which almost cost him his life after what ended up being the last Judas Priest concert to date.
Just two months after going through ten hours of open heart surgery, new information now arrives on Faulkner’s state of health, with the guitarist himself assuring that he feels “very strong and positive”.
Judas Priest’s social networks have published this message from Richie to his followers: “Hello maniacs! I just wanted to write to you, and there have been many who have asked me for an update on how my recovery is going. I was able to return home from the hospital ten days after my operation to continue my recovery at home. Seven days have passed. weeks since the night it all happened, and I feel very strong and positive. The incisions have healed very well, and I can definitely see the light at the end of the tunnel. “
Faulkner says that playing again gives him strength: “I am walking well and moving freely, I am quite active and will start cardiac therapy very soon. I play the guitar every day and, with the love and support of my family, your continued support, and the inspiration I receive from the guitar, I’ll be back on stage in no time! My surgeons are very happy with my progress and have booked front row tickets to the next Priest show. “
Richie doesn’t forget to show his appreciation: “It’s Thanksgiving this month, and whether you celebrate it or not, I have a lot to be thankful for this year; Including all of you for your patience, love and support. Much love. See you at the front soon, horns held high.”
