In a recital of hatebreed in Oklahoma City on November 5 the vocalist jamey jasta he expelled a suspected Nazi from the venue before they performed the final theme of the night. A video of the incident was sent to Metal Injection by benjamin sharpwhich stated the following: “I’m really not sure how this happened. My partner was recording and we were both on the fence, the person who was yelling at the beginning of the video caught our attention so he turned his phone around. I saw a man who was basically pushed back by the crowd and who seemed rather drunk and aggressive to begin with.”
In the recording we can see Jasta approaching the respectable saying: “What do you want me to do? You want me to kick people off the fucking show?”. Some people pointed out that there was a supposed Nazi in the audience.
This was the reaction of the vocalist of hatebreed: “Nazis at the concert? Listen, Nazis are not welcome at Hatebreed concerts. It is something very obvious. But you guys have to be the police at the concerts, okay? In my time we didn’t say that to the singer of a fucking group. We took care of that shit on the street. Nobody sees anything. No one tells, without police. Do you have a problem? Deal with him in the street like men.”
Jasta pauses as the suspected Nazi is led out of the compound: “There it goes. Don’t bump into the door on the way out. There is no place for racism, anti-Semitism, sexism, transphobia or any of that shit. Life is hard enough already. Everybody needs music, but I’m not a fucking cop. Take care of your own shit next time, okay? I love you all, but control our scene. It’s not something that depends on the gangs.”
