“I am excited to return to a country that has supported me since the beginning of my career and really I am happy to return to Guatemala”, was the message with which he began a recent conversation with Free Press Spanish artist Pablo Alborán.
“Currently I am on a tour of theaters and I am happy to be able to reach one of the great Guatemalan stages. I have prepared a repertoire in which I hope we will have a good time and enjoy the music, ”she added.
Alborán said that his musicians will help him to offer an unforgettable evening and promised that in moments he will mix his show with interventions on piano, guitar and cover songs from his record production.
Recently the Alborán launched trip to nowherea theme in which Carín León participated and that allowed him to approach the Mexican regional.
“This song is fresh and I have performed it in some concerts on this tour, so in Guatemala I may include it in the repertoire, but I guarantee that the Show it will be full of surprises”, said the Spanish artist.
Alborán said that this song gave him the opportunity to get to know another musical style and acknowledged that his career has allowed him to gain experience to dare to venture with sounds. “In all styles, as long as they are done with respect, it gives good results. Working on this topic with Carín León has been an apprenticeship, there was variety and I am happy with the result”, he added.
Alborán and its link with Guatemala
In March 2018 Pablo Alborán performed for the first time in Guatemala and at that time his show was part of i promise tour and achieved full house, as well as the support of their local fans.
His connection with Guatemala continued and in July 2020, the national singer-songwriter Ricardo Arjona revealed the version of The love that I hada topic in which Alborán collaborated.
Arjona stated that some songs on the album White they had a special treatment without having planned it and highlighted the collaboration with the Spanish artist.
At that time Alborán said that “Recording this collaboration with Arjona is a dream because I have admired him for many years. In fact, recently I was asked in an interview what could be one of the dream collaborations and it was him and it has come true. So, what it means is a dream come true” and Arjona revealed more details of that duet.
In the recent interview, Alborán recalled that rapprochement with the Guatemalan singer-songwriter and indicated that it was a privilege to have participated with Arjona.
“One of my dreams that came true was with Ricardo Arjona. Being able to collaborate with him meant a lot to me because I thought it would never happen and I would like to have experiences like these forever, but I think there is still a lot to do, a lot to learn and the beauty of music is that it allows a mixture of artists”, added the Spanish artist.
