Gloria Trevi staged her concert in Puerto Rico in 24 hours and without her team

San Juan, 14 Aug. Mexican singer Gloria Trevi managed to successfully carry out her concert in Puerto Rico despite having to organize it in 24 hours and without her usual team, which due to visa problems did not arrive on time for the show.

According to a statement published this Sunday by the artist’s representatives on the island, due to a problem with the US consulate system in Mexico, the approved visas could not be ready for last night’s concert in San Juan.

For this reason, the artist’s team, which includes light and wardrobe technicians, musicians and dancers, among others, was unable to travel to Puerto Rico.

This mishap only affects this first concert of their tour of the United States “Isla Divina World Tour”, since the team will be able to join the more than 40 shows scheduled for the rest of the country.

Accompanied by five musicians, two choristers and four dancers from Puerto Rico, Gloria Trevi thanked last night for the enthusiasm with which the show was put on “in less than 24 hours and despite being in the midst of a storm.”

The thousands of fans who gathered at the Puerto Rico Coliseum chanted and enjoyed for more than two hours the Mexican hits such as “Todos me miran”, “Loose hair”, “With closed eyes”, “Big”, “We went crazy” and “Go up.”

The start of the tour in Puerto Rico also had more surprises. A fan of Gloria Trevi since the age of 11 named Juan Figueroa was surprised by her partner, Luis Morales, when he asked her to marry him on stage.

Trevi now leaves Puerto Rico for Laredo for his August 19 show at Sames Auto Arena and then continues on to Hidalgo at Payne Arena on August 20.

In a meeting with the media in San Juan last Thursday, Trevi promised to “have a catharsis and then a party” at his concerts on his tour of the United States.

“It is a tour that comes after a pandemic, from a situation where what I felt is that I wanted to give people joy. All that confinement, all that depression, all that fear that we face, transform it into positive energy, into freedom,” he said. EFE
