Bars, discotheques, concerts and massive events of a cultural nature will be open from 10:00 am to 3:00 am the next day.
During this morning, the mayor of Bogotá, Claudia Lopez announced that nightly entertainment establishments will be able to resume their normal hours of operation until 3:00 a.m. With this measure, bars, discos, concerts and massive events of a cultural nature they will operate from 10:00 am to 3:00 am the next day.

Similarly, establishments of trade that sell alcoholic beverages for consumption instead, they may also operate under these hours, as long as they continue to comply with biosafety measures and ensure that users respect biosafety protocols. Also, in concerts and mass events of a cultural nature, alcoholic beverages may be sold.

“All commercial establishments that carry out the economic activity of bars, gastrobars, dance venues and discotheques, must register the biosafety protocols and implement said protocols established by the Ministry of Health.”, Says the decree.

This decision was quickly celebrated by the Association of Bars of Colombia (Asobares) who highlights that with this new hours of operation there will be an additional recovery of about 25% of the work teams, which to date reached 50%, which means that approximately 75% of jobs in this sector can be recovered, benefiting mainly women and young people.
“We celebrate this measure that allows to preserve the social and business fabric that revolves around the city’s gastrobars, bars and nightclubs and allows to counteract the clandestine and illegal offer that has been strengthened in the capital”, he highlights Asobares.
